Balaji R is an experienced Product Engineer currently working at udaan.com. With a relevant experience of 3.20 years, he has a strong understanding of software engineering and is proficient in Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Typescript, and UI. Balaji is a graduate of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, where he pursued his Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology. He is a dedicated engineer who is passionate about open-source projects, and has contributed to Google Summer of Code 2019. Before joining udaan.com, Balaji worked as an Engineer Intern at udaan and as a Student Developer at Amahi, where he added new features to the Amahi android app. He implemented a light theme feature, improved the UI by following Google's Material design guidelines, added persistence of data and views on screen orientations, and implemented the Friending feature that lets users connect with each other and share content. He also made some improvements in files sorting and displaying file info, added new Shuffle and repeat features to the Music player module, and fetched thumbnails from the server and displayed them instead of original images. Balaji's technical skills and experience make him a valuable asset to any team he works with. He has a strong understanding of software engineering and is always eager to learn new technologies.
