Balakrishnan Karuppusamy is an experienced Oracle Database Management/Support Professional with over 10 years of experience in project planning and execution, Oracle database administration, capacity/space planning, and more. He is skilled in Linux administration, problem/change/service management, and client/stakeholder engagements, with a track record of providing 24x7 support for databases in production/managed/service/cloud operations. Balakrishnan has extensive experience in DBA functions, including writing stored procedures, database designing, and maintenance. He is experienced in Oracle SQL tuning and PL/SQL debugging to ensure a high availability database environment. He has a strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, Goldengate, Dataguard, and Quest Shareplex, and is familiar with Oracle Exadata to deliver better performance, cost-effectiveness and availability for Oracle databases. Currently, Balakrishnan is working as a Project Lead-Database Management at BNY Mellon Technology/INautix Technology Pvt Ltd, where he provides 24x7 support and on-call support & services for Bank of New York on all Oracle databases, including installation, configuration & assistance, as per business requirements. He is responsible for creating, & maintaining Oracle databases, reviewing index, if necessary, rebuilding or coalescing index to rectify segment fragmentation, planning, creating & administering all database objects, and more. Balakrishnan has also worked at Renault Nissan Technology & Business Center India and INautix Technologies as a Deputy Manager and Technical Lead-Database Management, respectively. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Anna University and has completed his 12th standard and 10th standard from government higher secondary school. Balakrishnan's technical skills include AWS, SQL, Ansible, DevOps, Postgres, and he has relevant experience of 14.54 years. He loves to mentor young leaders and wants to see them grow.
