Baljeet Singh is a highly skilled software engineer with over 7 years of experience in the field. He has a strong background in application development for the web, with a focus on back-end development and the design and development of REST APIs in multiple languages. Baljeet has also worked extensively on performance analysis of CouchDb views between native Erlang and JavaScript. In addition to his back-end development experience, Baljeet has a keen interest in client-side JavaScript applications. He has written several important components using Ember in his day-to-day work, which has brought him closer to the open-source community. He has even made his first commit on one of the most widely used Ember addons. Currently, Baljeet is most interested in open source, web performance, networking, and security. He understands that networking, JavaScript performance, and security are fundamental parts of the web. Baljeet recognizes that even if a back-end app sends a response in under a second, a non-optimized client-side application can take several seconds to become responsive or even worse, get the first view of the app. By analyzing these problems, he believes that we can make the user experience better by solving those problems progressively. Baljeet is a Senior Software Engineer at Freshworks, where he has worked for several years. Prior to his current role, he worked as a Software Engineer at both Freshworks and Opinio. At Freshworks, he has worked on Ruby on Rails for the back-end and Ember JS for the front-end. He has added JWT authentication for the API, written some of the important components of Freshdesk with end-to-end testing using Ember Js, migrated to reCAPTCHA V2, and worked on bug fixes, enhancements, and performance optimization. At Opinio, he worked on RESTful API using Spring Framework, Map Reduce view (Erlang and JavaScript) in CouchDB, Ember JS, Handlebars, Foundation for front-end development, AWS SES service to filter and send error log, and Python Script to automate some tasks. Baljeet holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from KIIT University. He has a strong technical skill set that includes software engineering, back-end development, JavaScript, web development, Ruby, front-end development, testing, and Spring.
