Balram Khichar is an Engineering Manager (UI) at Rippling, where he leads a team of highly skilled UI engineers and builds highly scalable frontend/mobile apps. He has built a team of 40+ frontend and mobile developers and is responsible for leading the architectural decisions for frontend and mobile apps. Balram is passionate about user and developer experience and strives to build effective and efficient teams. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Balram is a hands-on frontend engineer who helps developers build solid products. He is efficient in carrying out development planning and architecting projects from the ground up. Balram has expertise in frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS/JS, ReactJs, React Native, Electron, and AngularJs. He is also proficient in backend technologies such as Python, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, and PHP. Balram has contributed to commonly used modules, worked on initial infra and architecture of Rippling frontend app, and contributed to tooling, CI/CD pipeline setup, and developer experience. He has also architected and built Rippling mobile app. Balram has worked closely with multiple founders on building their MVP and with eBay (Hong Kong) team on a referral network project during his tenure at Codebrahma. Balram holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from SRM University and completed his high school education from Adarsh Vidya Mandir.
