Bargunan Somasundaram is an experienced Big Data Engineer with a focus on both batch and real-time streaming solutions. He has an exceptional track record of developing and implementing extremely low latency distributed systems. With over 9 years of relevant experience, he has worked with a variety of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Ambari, HBase, Apache Phoenix, Spark, Apache Kafka, Zookeeper, Apache Solr, and MongoDB. Bargunan is skilled in data engineering and has been instrumental in designing, developing, and strategizing the deployment of ETL as well as ELT processes on commodity hardware. He has worked with Apache Sqoop, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, REST Proxy, Avro, Confluent Kafka, and Hadoop.
