Baris Palaska is an experienced software engineer with over 7 years of relevant experience. Currently working at Palantir Technologies as a Software Engineer, Baris is skilled in various technologies including JavaScript, VueJS, React Native, AWS, Docker, MongoDB, and Backend development. Previously, Baris worked as a Freelance Software Developer at Upwork where he mostly worked on client apps using Vue.js & React-native. He also co-founded Marketinf.com, a SaaS company that helped people start online marketplaces on-demand. While at Marketinf.com, Baris built various services and components for a sophisticated AngularJS application, developed the Node.js backend application that consists of various modules (payment, authentication, i18n) and 20+ endpoints, and utilized AWS products (Elasticbeanstalk, S3, Lambda etc.). He also containerized the application using Docker, automated deployments with CircleCI, organized sales/support meetings with customers, hired & managed developers, and found investors. Baris holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi Üniversitesi / Bogazici University, a Minor in Business Administration and Management, General from Boğaziçi University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering, Commerce from the University of Virginia.
