Basavaraj Navalgund is an experienced ROS Developer currently working at Conigital Group. He has a strong background in both hardware and software, having built personal projects and worked in the industry. Basavaraj is passionate about the autonomous systems field, particularly ROS Robots and Automated Driving. As a ROS Developer at Conigital Group, Basavaraj is part of the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) team, working on implementing a Level 3+ AV. He models sensors on the simulation environment and configures them on the vehicle to create a digital twin. Currently, he is performing virtual validation and testing path planning and control modules, which generates trajectories for the vehicle and calculates control inputs (steering, acceleration, and deceleration!) to execute those trajectories using CARLA with Autoware simulator. Basavaraj has mapped topics published and subscribed on ROS, which serves as the middleware for the AV stack. All software is based on the ROS framework and written in C++. Prior to his current role, Basavaraj worked as a Graduate Engineer at Mando, where he primarily developed algorithms for ADAS applications. He also worked as a Robotics Engineer at Technoyantra, where he worked on Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), primarily as a ROS developer. He has hands-on experience with 3D and 2D SLAM, RPLiDAR S1 and A3, Intel RealSense L515, T265, and D435i. Basavaraj has experience with SLAM and navigation stack and sensor fusion of Wheel Odometry, Visual Odometry, and IMU using robot_localization. All software was based on the ROS framework and written in C++ or Python. Basavaraj holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering from KLE Technological University. He is skilled in software engineering, image processing, Python, and mobile technologies. With 3.03 years of relevant experience, Basavaraj is a proficient ROS Developer who is capable of researching, designing, and developing software solutions.
