Baskar Subramanian is a seasoned technologist and entrepreneur with over 24 years of experience in building technology companies. He is the co-founder of Amagi Media Labs, a leading cloud-managed media technology company that manages content delivery and monetization for some of the largest broadcast and digital-first media companies worldwide. Baskar's passion for technology and business strategy has helped him bridge the gap between the two, and he has spent his career developing technologies that fit business needs or building businesses leveraging high tech. He started his career in Texas Instruments in Bangalore, building design systems, but soon founded his own company, Impulsesoft, where he served as CTO and co-founder. He architected products and systems at both Impulsesoft and subsequently at SiRF, a NASDAQ-listed US semiconductor firm that acquired Impulsesoft. Baskar is an M.Tech drop-out from IIT-Bombay and a graduate of GCT, Coimbatore, specializing in Computer Science. He has a host of patents and regularly mentors various start-ups and businesses. At Amagi, he drives business strategy, investments, and technology architecture. Baskar's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, and he has a relevant experience of 24.45 years. His education history includes an M.Tech in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a B.E in Computer Science Engineering from GCT. Baskar's leadership and expertise have helped Amagi deliver hundreds of channels across 45+ countries, and the company has offices in NY, London, Singapore, and its R&D center in Bangalore.
