Beidou Wang is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Google with a focus on recommendation systems. He has published numerous papers in top conferences and journals in the data mining and AI field, including KDD, WWW, AAAI, IJCAI, and TKDE. Beidou is also an active member of the AI community, serving as a program committee member for top conferences like AAAI, IJCAI, NIPS, ICLR, ICML, and UAI. He has also served as a session chair for SDM and AAAI and as a reviewer for top conferences and journals like WWW, KDD, CIKM, TKDD, and TKDE. Beidou has completed multiple related internships at Google, Samsung Research Canada, and Baidu. He has also won Champions in lots of technical competitions held by leading internet companies in China, including Tencent, Baidu, Netease, Qihu360, and Trend Micro. In addition to his work in the tech industry, Beidou is the founder of IKAN, the leading US TV show management app in China with half a million users and million-level seed investment. Prior to joining Google, Beidou worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Google and as a Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University. At Simon Fraser University, he researched areas focused on recommendation systems and deep neural networks, including active learning, cross-domain recommendation, information diffusion prediction, and recommendation explanation.
