Ben Butterworth is a skilled software engineer with a passion for learning and helping others. With 3.68 years of relevant experience, Ben is currently working as a Software Engineer at Helsing, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining software infrastructure. Previously, Ben worked as an SDK Developer at Ably, a technology company that provides infrastructure and developer tools to power live experiences over the internet. During his time at Ably, Ben was involved in powering live chat for HubSpot, in-play scores for millions of Australian Open fans, and real-time transit updates for three million Chicagoans. He was responsible for simplifying the complex and substantial engineering and infrastructure that organizations require to deliver these experiences. Ben is also a Fellow at Founders of the Future, where he is involved in building a community of the world’s most talented young founders and connecting them with the resources they need to succeed. Ben holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Imperial College London, where he also completed his Postgraduate studies. He also spent time as a Visiting Undergraduate Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied Materials Science & Engineering. Prior to this, Ben completed his A-levels in Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths & Economics at Harrow School and his High School education at Wesley College, Perth. Ben has a strong tech stack, including software engineering and infrastructure. He is always keen to learn new skills and is passionate about sharing his knowledge with others.
