Ben Hadfield is a seasoned software engineer with almost 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently working at Deliveroo as a Software Engineer, he is responsible for cooking up delicious code to ensure the smooth functioning of the platform. Before joining Deliveroo, Ben worked at Citymapper as a Software Engineer, where he helped build the Ride and Pass products. Ben also has experience working as a Frontend Engineer at 9fin, where he was responsible for designing, implementing, and testing global state management that worked with complex financial datasets. He worked closely with backend engineers to design new API endpoints and participated in regular code reviews and performance meetings. Ben was also responsible for communicating with other non-technical members of the team to get feedback and bug reports. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University College London (UCL), which he completed in 2018. He also completed his GCSE and A Level from Ilkley Grammar School in 2014 and 2007, respectively. With a strong tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Frontend, Test, and Backend, Ben is always open to new opportunities and co-founders who want to grab coffee and discuss ideas.
