Ben Norton is a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead at Bluecore, a billion-dollar "unicorn" company. He has been with the company since its early funding rounds and has played a key role in leading the Analytics Infrastructure team. Ben has created and delivered on multi-quarter team roadmaps, acted as the primary on-call for most of the analytics systems in the company, and mentored engineers throughout the analytics organization. He has also replaced the entire primary analytics backend with a faster, cheaper, and more accurate architecture, and scoped and architected new analytics feature requests from Product. Ben's past experience includes working as a Senior Big Data Engineer at JASK, where he built an automation framework for specialists to enable rapid prototyping of advanced data applications, created data access layers to make security analysis more robust, and wrote scalable infrastructure for the JASK platform. He also designed cloud environments for CI/CD, sandboxed security-sensitive applications, and fixed performance issues in network and log sensors. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 2014. He has a wealth of experience in various technologies, including Apache Airflow, ML, Data Engineering, Big Data, AI, and CI/CD.
