Ben Pooser is an experienced software developer at IBM with a passion for developing innovative and impactful technologies. He has a strong background in Java, C++, and Python, and has worked on a variety of projects throughout his career. Currently serving as a Back-End Developer at IBM, Ben is responsible for developing and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of his clients. Prior to joining IBM, Ben worked as a Software Engineer at Manhattan Associates. While there, he was a part of the Movers team and led the Putaway component, collaborating with team members overseas. He utilized Object-Oriented Programming techniques using Java and Spring Boot, creating JUnit tests to ensure quality. Ben was also instrumental in implementing the compatibility of multiple items at once in the Putaway component using Agile, which earned him the Research & Development Team of the Quarter award in April 2021. Before his role at Manhattan Associates, Ben worked at Chick-fil-A Corporate as a DTT Enablement team member. There, he joined the Identity and Access Management team and built automation tools for managing user accounts. He used AWS Lambda and CloudFormation with Python to make API calls in a Jenkins environment and utilized Splunk to build alerts from SQL queries for deactivating inactive user accounts. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Georgia. He also holds a High School Diploma from Oconee County High School. His technical skills include Backend and Software Engineering, Java, Python, Spring Boot, Spring, SQL, AWS, and Jenkins. With 2.61 years of relevant experience, Ben is a skilled and dedicated software developer who is always looking for ways to improve his skills and make a positive impact in the industry.
