Benedict Quartey is a self-taught polymath with a passion for robotics research and software engineering. He is a dreamer, inventor, artist, and roboticist who is constantly on a journey of self-improvement and knowledge acquisition. Currently, he is working at nokwary technologies as a Principal Engineer in Machine Learning and Internal Tooling. In his current role, Benedict leads the design and implementation of machine learning-enabled technology that promotes inclusive banking and social connections. He is also responsible for designing and implementing various full-stack internal tools at Nokwary to improve operations and drive value for the business. Prior to his work at Nokwary, Benedict founded Tontro, an online education, design, and maker platform that provides practical STEM education through interactive projects. He also worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant in Robotics and Machine Learning at Ashesi University. Benedict has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from Ashesi University. He also has a General Science background with a focus on Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Math from Adisadel College. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Benedict has developed a strong technical skill set in areas such as ML, Research Science, and Mobile technologies. He is a highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the field of robotics and software engineering.
