Bhakti Hinduja is a Principal Software Engineer at Ampere with over 7 years of relevant experience in the field of computer science. She strongly believes that technology drives solutions and has always been curious to find problems that can be solved with her technical skills. Bhakti's career began when she was selected for the role of Vice President Information Management at AIESEC in Mumbai, where she pioneered the development of IT in the company. She used data analytics for creating algorithms in business intelligence and process optimization, which led to a 68% growth in the company, for which she was felicitated with a national award. This experience proved to her that IT can bring about magnificent growth to businesses. In her Masters of Science in Computer Science, Bhakti took up a plethora of courses which touched a wide spectrum of topics like Networks, Security, and Data Intensive Computing. She developed her Hadoop and data analytic skills further by developing a project to analyze the NASDAQ stock vulnerability, which she did in MapReduce, R, Pig, and Hive. During her summer internship, Bhakti designed an algorithm to develop a “Personalized Recommender” for suggesting grants/papers to researchers. She built the HDFS system to process big data with MapReduce methods, crawled and cleaned a dataset of 30 Million papers into HBase, and handled duplicated records using Bloom Filters. She also used Natural Language Processing with MapReduce in Java to process the data, then used Mahout and other Machine Learning models to recommend results with an efficiency of 72%. Bhakti's current role is as a Coach - Communications, IT at AIESEC, where she coaches Vice Presidents and Team Leaders from all over India. She has also assisted AIESEC India in making several tools for analyzing the processes and optimizing them. Bhakti has led processes virtually in 13 cities in AIESEC India, bringing at least a growth of 35% in each of them. She has also used IT tools to manage stakeholders and increase CRM activities. Bhakti's past experience includes working as a Software Developer Intern at Modis, where she designed an algorithm to develop a “Personalized Recommender” for suggesting grants/papers to researchers.
