He developed a team of high-performing managers and ICs from a small core team and led Instagram-wide initiatives that required both leadership and strong technical depth, such as improving warehouse compute and storage efficiency by an order of magnitude for all of Instagram. Bharat has also worked as a Director, Data Engineering and Analytics at Amgen, where he was responsible for enabling data and analytics that support Amgen's $17 Billion US market. His teams were responsible for Data Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, and Master Data Management. Through these services, Bharat helped Amgen's brand sales and marketing teams understand their market and customers, effectively navigate a complex US healthcare marketplace, make data-driven decisions, with the final goal of getting life-saving drugs to patients. He was responsible for transforming the Commercial data and analytics capabilities through the major technology advances in the industry. Bharat holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, an MS in Mechanical Engineering / Computational Science from the University of Illinois, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
