Bharath Swamy is a passionate Software Engineer with a diverse skill set, including expertise in backend technologies, AI, and deep learning. With almost five years of experience in the industry, he is currently working as a Technical Lead at Mercari, where he leads the backend development of the main Home screen in the JP version of the iOS, android, and web platforms, serving millions of requests each day. Bharath is a proactive mentor who is always willing to help new engineers onboard and improve their skills. He has also written and improved company-wide documentation related to backend technologies. In addition to his industry experience, Bharath has academic and research experience in deep learning and AI. He holds a Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM University. Bharath is passionate about using technology to solve everyday problems and is looking to break into a product management role in the future. He has collaborated with several stakeholders in successfully delivering experimental features for improving Buyer Conversion Rate (BCR) and Monthly Active Users (MAU) as an indirect metric for quantitatively measuring the Gross Market Value (GMV) attributable to the delivered features.
