Bharath Vijay is a seasoned software engineer with over 7 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he works as a Platform Engineering Lead at Ozone, where he leads the development of microservices in Golang to automate Kubernetes-based infrastructure and tooling around it. He is an expert in scalable microservices and systems and has advanced knowledge in Kubernetes implementations. Bharath is a passionate computer science enthusiast who loves writing code and exploring systems and technology. He is attracted towards open-source projects and is an active participant in open-source communities. He has profound knowledge in Golang, Python, C++, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. In his current role, Bharath is responsible for automating Kubernetes cluster creation across major cloud distributions. He has also written almost every Kubernetes spec file for all the microservices that are deployed in Kubernetes. He has extensive experience in setting up Kubernetes applications in Redhat's OpenShift and has implemented a highly scalable setup of Kafka in Kubernetes. Bharath has worked with several past companies, including Hipbar and Hasura, where he gained experience in writing scalable APIs using Golang and Python, managing Kubernetes services on GCE and Digital Ocean, and containerizing using Docker and deploying in Google Cloud. He has also worked on large-scale e-commerce backends and written complex NoSQL queries. Bharath holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University. He has hands-on experience in setting up HA MySQL using Vitess Operator and has implemented Istio, Jfrog, Harbor, MongoDB, Redis, EFK in Kubernetes.
