Bhargav Mardimani is a Data Engineer II at Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a passion for learning new technologies and implementing them to extract raw data and turn it into useful business insights. With almost 6 years of relevant experience, Bhargav has worked on building and optimizing standard processes to create data lakes, ingesting client data from multiple sources, streaming events, and transforming them into useful information to help drive business decisions and analyze performance. Bhargav is a huge fan of Jupyter Notebook and loves the culture of narrative writing. He believes that everything is all about patterns, and one just has to find the right ones. Bhargav is well-versed in the 4 V's of data - volume, variety, velocity, and value, and has experience working with AWS Big Data Stack, including Glue, S3, Lambda, Athena, DynamoDB, Kinesis, EMR, Step function, and QuickSight. Prior to joining AWS, Bhargav worked as a Big Data Engineer II at datadelivers, llc., where he was one of the first employees to receive the PEAK performance award for delivering a functional, client-ready platform in record time of 2 weeks in collaboration with the team by creating automated data pipelines. He also worked on Salesforce, Hubspot, Sendgrid, and 250ok, among other tools. Bhargav's past experience also includes working as a Graduate Student Assistant at Illinois Institute of Technology, where he revamped committee review and strategic planning reports for use by the Strategic Planning Committee to assist in accreditation of the CS department. He also assisted in consolidating 15 faculty expense reports per week, maintained a detailed filing system for the department, and managed the front office by assisting students with queries, providing on-call and email support, and organizing meeting schedules. Bhargav holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation Technology from RVCE. He is well-versed in data engineering, AWS, web development, Python, big data, Spark, Amazon Athena, SQL, Hadoop, research science, integration, sentiment analysis, HDFS, AWS Glue, ML, NoSQL, ETL, Azure, Apache Hive, and more.
