Bhumik Varu is an experienced NodeJS Backend Developer with expertise in MongoDB, ExpressJS, Redis, Socket, and React-Native. He has a strong understanding of REST API, SOAP APIs, and NoSQL. Bhumik is also proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, R, and Java. He is keen to explore Analytics, Consulting, and Machine Learning Applications. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Kore.ai, Bhumik has previously worked as a Machine Learning Intern at L&T, where he developed a cognitive assist module for efficient collection of data for OCR and worked on the development of a CTC based network for handling handwritten as well as printed characters. He has also served as a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, where he worked on the classification of stages of Alzheimer's disease using Support Vector Machine. Bhumik gathered data from neurological MRI scans of human brains of people ranging from 60 to 80 years of age and processed it to extract 31 best volumetric and area features. He built several machine learning models to compare the results, and SVM outplayed the other standard supervised learning models. Bhumik holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Berhampur, where he gained expertise in Javascript, Backend, Software Engineering, NodeJS, Redis, MongoDB, ML, React Native, NoSQL, Frontend, SVM, Research Scientist, CNN, Infra, Supervised Learning, Computer Vision, AI, OpenCV, Integration, and UI.
