Bhupendra is a highly skilled software engineer with over 5 years of experience building scalable tech solutions. He has worked on various tech problem statements and has gained expertise in search, Android, mobile, big data, Hadoop, Apache Hive, and Python. Currently, he is working at Jumbotail as a software engineer, where he is responsible for building search. Prior to joining Jumbotail, Bhupendra worked at Flipkart as a software engineer, where he was part of the Flipkart Search team. He built algorithms to enhance the user search, which helped improve the overall user experience. Before Flipkart, he worked at Samsung, where he was part of the Runestone team. He developed an on-device personalization service (Android application) that analyzed user activities, such as commuting pattern, sleeping pattern, and preferred app usage based on time, place, and occasion. He also implemented various modules, such as data loggers, monitors, and analyzers, which helped create personalized events or experiences for the user. Apart from this, Bhupendra was also part of the AdEngine team, where he developed an Android application that sent only relevant ads to relevant users based on their profile. He used Firebase to publish push notifications, which helped save a lot of resource bandwidth. Additionally, he was part of the Big Data team, where he wrote analytic queries in Hive and automation scripts in Python. He fetched data using Hive query from Hadoop and Hue platform, preprocessed it, analyzed it, and presented reports to higher management. Bhupendra is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, where he earned his Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
