Bhushan Thakur is an Associate Software Applications Engineer at Red Hat with a passion for web development and backend programming. His journey in software development began during his undergraduate studies when he developed a simple payroll management system using HTML, Javascript, and MySQL. Since then, he has progressed to building more complex web applications like a Chat application in GO, URL Shortener service, and BookStore REST API development. Bhushan's interest in DevOps culture and how it can help with the agile development process led him to enroll in the CSC 519 DevOps class. He was impressed by the whole idea of automation, configuration management, and continuous integration, and he is now an avid follower of this culture and learning different tools that allow for agile development. Although he considers himself a newbie in the world of software development, Bhushan is eager to learn new technologies and build high-performance systems. He has experience working as an IT DevOps Intern and Software Engineering Intern at Red Hat and Genesys, respectively. Bhushan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai. He is proficient in DevOps, web development, backend programming, software engineering, CI/CD, Javascript, MySQL, and integration. Outside of work, Bhushan enjoys various activities such as going to the gym, running, playing guitar, reading books on economics, and following the latest global affairs. With 4.78 years of relevant experience, Bhushan is a dedicated and motivated software engineer who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
