Bhuvnesh Jain is a Senior MTS at Nutanix, with a passion for building complex, scalable, and distributed systems. He is a multitasking expert and can review multiple projects simultaneously, setting him apart from his peers. Bhuvnesh has grown and mentored the scheduler team from a single person to a full functional team of 5 people in India in the past 2 years. Bhuvnesh's proficiency lies in distributed systems, Python, and Git. He has been instrumental in optimizing VM/Node stats publishing by 2.5-3x, reducing RPC calls/second by 3.5-4x, and SSH calls to host by 4-5x. He has also optimized bulk VM operations throughput (clone, delete, power off, migrates, get) by 10-50%. In his past roles at Nutanix, Bhuvnesh has been a lead, developer, and designer for various projects. As an MTS 4, he led the India team for improving the scale and reliability of the core VM scheduler. He was also a lead and designer for HA detection and worked on scaling ADS from master only to a completely scaleout service for stats collection. As a Co-Lead, Developer, and Designer, Bhuvnesh contributed to the componentization of services owned by the Acropolis team. Bhuvnesh has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, which he completed in 2018. He also completed his 12th Class from Apeejay School, Faridabad, in 2013. With 4.94 years of relevant experience, Bhuvnesh is a valuable asset to Nutanix, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in distributed systems, Python, and Git.
