Bianca Yang is a highly skilled software engineer with over 7 years of experience in the field. Currently, she works at BetterOmics as a Hiring Manager, where she uses her expertise to build and manage a team of talented engineers. Prior to this, she worked at ThoughtSpot as a Member of Technical Staff, where she was a part of the Sage team responsible for the search engine. During her tenure at ThoughtSpot, Bianca worked on several projects, including building the anonymization layer of infrastructure for their trace gathering tool, introducing new keywords into their query language, and improving the developer experience by creating tools to track code test coverage. She also worked on a cross-functional team to build ThoughtSpot's "build your own on-boarding experience" feature, which included a step-by-step guided tutorial in translating natural language queries to the Sage language. Before joining ThoughtSpot, Bianca worked as a Research Assistant at Caltech's Perona Lab, where she developed a hierarchical sensor array that could be optimized for power and storage consumption with machine learning. She worked with Mason McGill to develop this sensor array, which was attached to a Pi and planned to be used for wildlife research. Bianca holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Caltech and has experience in a range of tech stacks, including SQL, search, UI, big data, test, product management, backend, infra, ML, and research science.
