Binand Sethumadhavan is an experienced technology professional with over 17 years of experience in the online gaming industry. He is currently the Founder-CEO of Games24x7, an online games company. Binand has a deep understanding of the Acquisition-Conversion-Retention model and the Virtual Goods Sales Model. He is also experienced in collecting and evaluating player feedback, product roadmap specification and execution, building teams and support structures, organizing game design and software development, deployment and continuing operations at datacenters and Cloud infrastructure (EC2) to facilitate high-availability and large transaction volumes. Binand has additional experience in Information Security, including policy formulation and implementation, IS Risk Management, Audits and Compliance, and Security Operations. He relies heavily on data-driven decision making and has experience with several third-party tools and developing such tools in-house for specific use-cases. Currently, Binand is the SVP & CTO - Social Games, Ultimate Games at play games24x7. He is responsible for the Social Gaming division, which was launched in mid-2015 as a separate brand, Ultimate Games. The division currently has four titles live on the Google Play Store. Binand is also responsible for further optimizing the SDLC process, introducing automation in developer testing and QA processes, and introducing the concept of Continuous Integration in Delivery. Binand has worked with several companies in the past, including partygaming plc and gaussian networks. At partygaming plc, he started as a software developer and steadily progressed towards more senior roles in datacenter provisioning, IT management, Information Security, and network architecture. At gaussian networks, Binand was the COO - Rummy and built the team and relaunched Adda52 Rummy. He grew the business over several months with controlled marketing spend and launched a completely redesigned app and website in Q2/2019. Binand also ran the trendsetting Indian Rummy Challenge twice (in 2017 and 2018). Binand holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and a B.Tech. in Aerospace Engg. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is proficient in several technologies, including test, software engineering, infrastructure, CI/CD, QA, integration, and mobile. With over 21 years of relevant experience, Binand is a seasoned professional in the online gaming industry.
