Binoy Pilakkat is a highly skilled naval architect, designer, and software developer with over 8 years of relevant experience. He is currently the Managing Director at Admaren Tech Private Limited and works as a Consultant Naval Architect at green ship technologies. Binoy's areas of interest include innovative designs, challenging problems, design optimization, software development and customization, visualization, and computer graphics. He is a master of applied mechanics, specializing in hydrodynamics, energetics, and propulsion, and has a joint advanced master's degree in naval architecture. Binoy has worked on a variety of projects throughout his career, including the development of loading software for tankers, the design and development of ship loading software capable of performing intact, damaged, and longitudinal strength calculations, and the development of deck load planning modules for OSVs. He has also developed ullage report modules for tankers. In his past roles, Binoy worked as an intern naval architect at Navyk Design & Engineering, where he optimized the lines-plan of a 38m motor yacht, created the structural arrangement of the wheelhouse of a 50m hopper barge, and developed in-house Rhinoceros plug-ins used for naval architecture calculations. He also worked as an assistant manager at Mazagon Dock Ltd, where he implemented new projects in Aveva Marine, assisted the chief manager in planning and executing projects, monitored project progress, modeled ship structures using AVEVA Marine, liaised with hull shops, erection sites, and production engineers, managed sub-contractors, and provided necessary technical support. Binoy's tech stack includes senior software engineer, software engineer, UI, and designer.
