Birendra Rajan is an Environmental Consultant and Air Pollution Expert with over 1.86 years of relevant experience. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Master's degree in Thermal Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from BIT, Mesra Student-Industry Relations Cell. As a Senior Sustainability Engineer at Vertiv, Birendra is responsible for various technologies, including clean and green energy product development. He has also worked on the design and development of a Biomass Gasification System, for which he has been granted a patent. Additionally, he has hands-on experience in ANSYS Fluent, CFD, Solidworks, CATIA, and Auto-CAD. Birendra's area of interest includes ESG, Sustainability, Agro-waste to Energy Production, Clean Usage of Biomass, and air pollution control technologies. He is a consultant for various technologies related to environmental sustainability and has worked on projects related to sustainability, climate change, and policies related to environmental sciences. He has also worked on problems pertaining to air pollution, water pollution, and solid waste management. Birendra has previously worked as a Manager at Suman Waste Management (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., where he managed projects related to sustainability and climate change. He was also the Secretary General at Environmental Science and Engineering Association (ESEA), IIT Bombay, where he conducted various activities and created awareness about environment-related issues to local mass groups.
