Bole Pan is a highly motivated and ambitious junior at Columbia University with a passion for the intersection of computer science, neuroscience, and entrepreneurship. With previous experience in biochemistry research, product engineering, and financial sales, Bole has developed a diverse skill set that allows her to approach problems from multiple angles. Currently, Bole works as an Undergraduate Researcher at Kelley Lab, where she conducts computational neuroethology research on vocal communication of Xenopus. Supervised by Prof. Darcy B. Kelley, Harold Weintraub Professor of Biological Science, Bole is gaining valuable experience in the field of neuroscience. Before joining Columbia, Bole gained experience in the financial sector as an Analyst Intern at China International Capital Corp, where she worked in wealth management. She also worked as an Engineering Intern at Baidu, Inc. in the Intelligent Driving Group (IDG) Guangzhou Division, where she was involved in developing autonomous driving technology. Bole is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science (Combination Track with Neuroscience), with a concentration in Mathematics at Columbia University. She has also completed a Science-focused High School Diploma at Guangzhou Tianhe Foreign Language School. With a strong background in research, Bole is a skilled Research Scientist with 1.86 years of relevant experience.
