Brad Coates is a seasoned product leader with a decade of experience in SaaS, startups, and B2C initiatives. Brad is currently the VP of Product at Mobi, a Hawaii-based telecommunications provider, where he is leading the product efforts as the company looks towards expansion and its rebrand/launch. Prior to Mobi, Brad was the Director of Product at Mobi and the Principal Product Manager at ratehub.ca, a price comparison website that provides Canadians with the best information when selecting personal financial products. At ratehub.ca, Brad led the product efforts on the mortgage vertical, which is the company's biggest product by revenue. He was instrumental in setting company-wide metrics and influencing how the product team should interact and fit in with the rest of the organization. Brad's accomplishments at ratehub.ca include increasing conversion to their applications by 30% in six months, envisioning and creating Ratehub's product workflow using Jira, defining each step and communicating it to the organization, creating and automating company-wide metrics using backend data and Google Analytics to measure performance and set up tangible goals, helping define the day-to-day structure and scrum format with their development team, and working on the development and vision for the online mortgage application process with Canwise financial. Brad graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours in Marketing Management in 2012.
