Brad Gallagher is a highly accomplished technical co-founder, manager, and Senior Software Engineer with over 22 years of experience in both Fortune 50 and startup environments. He has extensive contributions to the growth of organizations through the creation, improvement, and management of software, technology, and processes. He is currently the Principal Software Engineer at Verana Health, a digital health data company that delivers insights from unfiltered healthcare to advance medical research for patient care. Verana Health is exclusively entrusted by key specialty medical societies to manage data from real-world healthcare settings across more than 20,000 healthcare providers and 70 electronic health record systems to enhance evidence generation and speed clinical research that promote physicians’ quality of care and patients’ quality of life. Brad has experience with two IPOs, two acquisitions, and taking visions from the concept stage, founding, and growing a company to revenues in the millions then successfully selling to a multi-national. He has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Zymergen, a science and innovation company utilizing artificial intelligence/machine learning and robotics to create materials not found in nature. At Zymergen, he was an instrumental member of the manufacturing execution system (MES) team which developed and maintains a highly customized version of Camunda and Spring Boot to automate processes used in the factories and laboratories. He also actively identified, assessed, and implemented projects, processes, and products that further automation. In addition, Brad was a Co-Founder/CTO of CaptionAccess, a company that manages over 200 contractors to provide media captioning, real-time captioning, and transcription services for clients such as the US Senate, Marriott, Merck, Dartmouth, and Brown. CaptionAccess was acquired by Ai-Media. He built and launched CaptionAccess’ site and administrative tools using Apache Shiro, Grails, WordPress, Java, and JavaScript. He also wrote an internal real-time collaboration tool using Java, WebSockets, JavaScript, and Firebase. Brad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from California State University, Northridge.
