Brandon Arino is a Lead Data Engineer at Carvana, with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Analytics from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. During his graduate program, he participated in several projects that utilized machine learning techniques in SPSS, AzureML, R, and Python. Brandon has also developed Advanced Excel skills and VBA coding and has worked on many process improvement projects that have been successfully implemented. Brandon's ambition is to work in a role where he can apply his analytical as well as technical skills towards improvement projects that will increase transparency within the company as well as their bottom line. His functional experience includes ETL experience with Python, Python programming, R programming and analysis, optimization modeling, machine learning, reporting, data analysis, accounting, supply chain management, and management/leadership. At Carvana, Brandon has held several positions, including Senior Data Engineer, Product Analytics, and Business Intelligence Developer, Product Analytics. He has designed and built some of the most widely used Tableau Workbooks and Dashboards in the company, including many that are displayed on TV screens and referenced on an hourly basis by the Executive team. Brandon has also pioneered the use of R within Tableau at Carvana to expand its statistical capabilities, as well as embedding dashboards in custom web pages and using the JavaScript library to provide dashboard automation. He has developed and maintained many different ETL scripts in Python to pull data from a variety of different sources ranging from APIs to web scraping. Brandon has a strong educational background, with a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, an Associate's Degree in Business/Commerce, General, and a Master's Degree in Business Analytics. He is proficient in several technologies, including Data Engineering, Python, ML, ETL, Web, Javascript, and Search.
