Brandon has experience in many different business domains, through both in-house and client-facing consulting engagements, including banking, technology, healthcare, medical research, eCommerce, and more. He has held roles from individual contributor to leading teams ranging from 5-20 developers, to solutioning architecture and providing technical direction and best practices for 5+ full product development teams simultaneously on major initiatives. Being a true full stack developer, Brandon can skillfully design and implement cloud-based and cloud-hybrid software solutions, ranging from front-end websites and single page applications, back-end microservices, event-driven architecture, data processing, database schema design and migration, logging, analytics, monitoring, to finally dev-ops and CI/CD pipelines. Some of his favorite technologies include TypeScript, Node, React, AWS, C#, .NET Core, and Azure, all with a focus on serverless, cloud-based architecture. Brandon holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Bioinformatics from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry, Chemistry minor from Virginia Tech. Brandon is a Senior Software Engineer, AWS, CI/CD, Typescript, Research Scientist, Microservices, DevOps, Azure, Frontend, Backend, and Software Engineer.
