Brian Balthazar is a junior at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) studying Computer Science. He is an enthusiastic programmer with a passion for learning and improving his skills in new programming languages, technologies, and frameworks such as C++ or React. Brian is known for his hard work, productivity, and reliability, which he has demonstrated through his long-held and ongoing relationships with peers, professors, and superiors. Brian is always eager to participate in hackathons or project-building programs, and he is proud to give back to his community through volunteer work, especially at his public library. He is open to answering questions and chatting about general topics. Brian is currently making a small game, and you can check out his portfolio site and GitHub to see his work. Currently, Brian is interning for iCIMS, the talent cloud company, where he is exposed to languages such as Java and React. He is working on a microservice for the product services team. In the past, Brian worked as a SITE intern for codepath.org, where he was selected from an applicant pool of 974 to be part of an accelerated program to gain technical work experience and web development skills. During this internship, Brian developed full-stack web applications with PostgreSQL, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JS, with an emphasis on databases, testing, design, and deployment. He collaborated in a team of other interns to create Arthub, a full-stack art application that uses the PERN stack to give a platform for starting artists to share their artwork and get feedback from others. Brian's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from NJIT, which he is expected to complete in 2023. He also attended West Orange High School, where he earned a 4.2891 GPA. Brian's tech stack includes Software Engineer, Web, Javascript, test, Frontend, Microservices, Java, Backend, NodeJS, and ReactJS. He has relevant experience of 0.26 years. Brian hopes to build a career in the software industry post-graduation in 2023.
