Brian Ocasio is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working at flexengage as a Full Stack Engineer for the e-commerce platform, where he is responsible for developing backend services as micro-services using SpringBoot in Java and Kotlin. He also develops the frontend e-commerce application written in Angular, writes terraform scripts to make changes in AWS resources during deployment, and helps develop bitbucket pipelines to deploy services to their Kubernetes cluster. Brian is also responsible for developing serverless python functions for internal testing using terraform, bitbucket pipelines, AWS Lambdas, and AWS API Gateway. He designed and developed a custom statistics reporting python application written to generate e-receipt statistics for customers. Additionally, he maintains and develops an SMTP server that receives and parses pdf receipts from point of sale systems and creates e-receipt equivalents that are emailed to retail customers. He also pioneered the utilization of Apiary as a way to document RESTful API's for customers use. Prior to his current role, Brian worked at La Rosa Realty as a Lead Generation Manager and Real Estate Consultant. He generated leads, produced marketing material, and conducted general team management. He also worked at Cygna Solutions, LLC as a CEO, where he led a 3-person team in the development of Marketplus, a lead management platform, and lead production service that empowers small businesses and sales teams. He also led a 3-person team in the development of STORM, a web and mobile application capable of keeping track of all SEC filings filed by public companies. Brian holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, where he graduated in 2018. He also completed his Computer Science Articulate program from Valencia College in 2016 and completed his high school education from Gateway High School in 2009.
