Bryson Wilks is an experienced Backend Software Engineer with a strong background in developing web applications, databases, and cloud computing solutions. With over 3 years of relevant experience, he has worked with various programming languages, including Python and Java, and is highly proficient in managing web applications using the Django framework. Currently working as a Backend Software Engineer at Spotify, Bryson has designed and developed RestAPI/GraphQL API endpoints that connect to customer-facing web applications. He has also written unit tests in pytest to ensure the functionality of API endpoints and replicated API calls using Postman. Additionally, Bryson has automated jobs and written Airflow DAGs to perform daily tasks such as deployment and cleanup of technological assets. Bryson has actively worked with a variety of Google Cloud Services, including Kubernetes, BigTable, Google Cloud Storage, App Engine, Dataflow, Spanner, and CloudSDK. He has also written complex action and select queries to PostgreSQL databases and added security features to endpoints to ensure they are not prone to IDOR vulnerabilities. Furthermore, he has participated in code reviews and provided valuable feedback to other team members. In the past, Bryson has worked as a Backend Software Engineer at Podsights, where he led the development effort to integrate the Podsights platform with Stripe payment systems. He has also created and managed REST API/GraphQL endpoints to create, read, update, and delete customer data. Additionally, he has worked with AWS S3 buckets and EC2 instances to create file transfer and storage systems. Bryson's education background includes a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Penn State University, which he completed in 2019. His technical skills include Backend, Software Engineering, Web Development, AWS, Django, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Python, Java, and testing.
