Caitlin Connellan is a highly experienced Project Manager with a passion for renewable energy and sustainable development. Currently, she works with Akuo Energy, a leading French green Independent Power Producer (IPP) and developer, as their Project Manager for the Australian operations. In this role, she is responsible for managing and executing the company's renewable energy projects across the country, including agri-energy and innovative clean energy technology solutions. Prior to joining Akuo Energy, Caitlin worked as a Business Development Coordinator for Mitsui & Co. (Australia) Ltd. In this role, she focused on new business development for the company's Infrastructure & Projects Division, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy and new infrastructure business innovation. She covered technical, finance, legal, and environmental management related to greenfield solar, wind, and battery storage, including the operation of existing assets such as the Bald Hills Wind Farm and new pipeline solar projects. Caitlin's experience in the renewable energy sector began with a six-week internship at Mitsui & Co. (Australia) Ltd, where she gained experience working within the Infrastructure Projects Division. In this role, she worked on renewable energy market research and the operation of the Bald Hills Wind Farm. Caitlin holds a Master of Energy Systems Scholarship from the University of Melbourne, where she studied Energy Engineering, Finance, Economics, and Policy. She also has a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (Japanese) from the University of Technology, Sydney. In addition, she completed a New Ventures Leadership program in Innovation & Entrepreneurship - The Future of Sustainability at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Caitlin's tech stack includes expertise in infra and research science. With over seven years of relevant experience, she is a highly skilled and motivated professional who is passionate about driving sustainable development through renewable energy solutions.
