Caitlin Johnson is a talented Data Engineer with a passion for using innovative technologies to amplify impact around the world. With over 6 years of experience in the field, Caitlin has built a diverse skill set that includes expertise in data visualization, data science, and machine learning. She is currently employed as a Data Engineer III (Remote) at ParkMobile, LLC, where she has been responsible for converting the entire data ingestion process of over 50+ tables from scheduled batch processes of varying frequencies to near real-time ingestion via Snowflake's Snowpipes. Caitlin's career began as a senior consultant for a well-regarded healthcare management firm, where she was exposed to a vast number of projects within various realms of the healthcare industry. However, as she worked with clients to tackle these complex issues, she realized that there is a need to not only make big data sets more meaningful and impactful, but to also leverage the immense computation power available to us and guide us through our decision-making processes more efficiently and accurately. Caitlin holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina. She also completed a Full-Stack Development bootcamp at LEARN Academy, where she gained the technical skills that she had been lacking. Caitlin's current yet ever-changing skill set includes languages such as Python, SQL, and JavaScript, frameworks such as Apache Spark and ReactJS, and cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake Data Warehouse. She is also proficient in using relational and NoSQL databases, tools such as Docker, Github, Git, Ansible, Looker, and Terminal, and development strategies such as Object-Oriented Programming, Mob/Pair Programming, and Test-Driven Development. Caitlin has worked with several companies in the past, including Privia Health and Zeeto.io, where she served as a Data Engineer and contributed to several projects, such as overhauling and enhancing existing Snowflake infrastructure, refactoring and consolidating Python ETL scripts, and creating and monitoring pipes that carry out near real-time ETL processes. Overall, Caitlin is a highly skilled and motivated data engineer who is committed to driving change for the better.
