He is currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, where he leads multiple distributed teams responsible for planet-scale infrastructure, including cloud, secure computing, distributed services, ETL, platform APIs, fundamentals, and ads verticals. Carlos is an expert in performance and scale, cloud distributed services, compute and storage infrastructure, architecture, and hardware acceleration. He has a proven track record of building teams with a shared sense of purpose, working across organizations, and translating business needs to a vision and an actionable roadmap.
