CC Chen is a seasoned executive with over 26 years of experience in FinTech, eCommerce, and Retail industries. As the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Mad Mobile, he leads global engineering teams in the US, Sri Lanka, and Argentina, disrupting the POS industry for restaurants and retail with mobile-first solutions at scale that meet the needs of modern customers, including the latest features like online ordering, delivery, curbside pick-up, and virtual clienteling. CC has a proven track record in building software at scale with a focus on highly available and scalable distributed systems. He is a recognized talent magnet with the ability to scale organizations rapidly in high-growth environments by attracting, developing, mentoring, and empowering high-performing individuals. He has extensive full-stack software development experience in Web/Mobile apps, service-oriented architecture, microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, cloud design patterns, database technologies, and DevOps. Prior to Mad Mobile, CC served as Vice President of Engineering, Payments, at Toast, Inc., where he led Toast FinTech engineering teams in Boston and Dublin, Ireland, focusing on scaling the team to meet 100+% high annual growth in Payments, Capital/Loans, and Payroll processing for restaurants. He also drove overall payments integration with JPMorgan & Chase to overhaul and modernize end-to-end technical stacks and improve customer experience. CC holds an M.S. in Computer Science from New York University and a B.S. in Computer Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology. He has advised product and engineering for a wealth management startup in stealth mode.
