Chaitanya Dhavale is a diligent and passionate Product Manager with over 5 years of experience in the banking, digital payments, fintech, and BFSI domains. He is currently working as a Manager- Product Manager at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he is responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Digital Initiatives- Mobile Banking team. Chaitanya is a Certified Scrum Product Owner® and has experience leading cross-functional teams to plan, build, launch, and manage innovations. Chaitanya has a fair understanding of digital payment products like UPI, BHIM, IMPS, RuPay, AEPS, and Outward remittance/cross-border payments. He is skilled in working with various messaging formats like ISO8583, ISO20022 XML, SWIFT, and UPI proprietary API messaging formats. Chaitanya is passionate about contributing back to the digital payments ecosystem using his experience and understanding of digital payment products. Chaitanya has worked in various organizations like Axis Bank and National Payments Corporation of India, where he was responsible for collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements, defining the vision for the team's product, creating a product roadmap based on this vision, managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements, overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development, developing user stories, monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process, and liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates. Chaitanya has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai and a Diploma of Education in Computer Engineering from Vidyalankar Institute of Technology. He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in General Management for IT professionals from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Software Development from IIIT Bangalore.
