Chaitanya Pramod is a seasoned Sr Principal Engineer with over 11 years of experience in software development. He has a strong focus on software quality and engineering practices, and has expertise in Java, Microservices, Architecture design, and Continuous Integration. Chaitanya is currently working as a Principal Engineer II at Zeta, where he kick-started a Platform Engineering team to centralize development and ownership of common frameworks and drive engineering initiatives across the organization. He has designed and built data-rich engineering health dashboards, which have been pivotal to all the teams in understanding performance, resource characteristics, and is still used as a blueprint years later. Chaitanya has also led the company-wide move from ActiveMQ to Kafka based Enterprise Service Bus, orchestrated the company-wide move from a huge cluster of 100s of service instances to logically segregated service meshes, and re-architected the communication pipeline to support multiple channels (mobile push notifications, SMS, email) to work asynchronously and support batch operations. He is currently working on architecting a generic platform for Benefits product to replace multiple country-specific implementations. Chaitanya has previously worked as a Tech Lead at Zeta, where he was the founding engineer to bootstrap development at Zeta. He has also worked as a Senior Project Lead at Ringo App, where he developed the Android client of Ringo from scratch and led a team of 5 engineers.
