Chakrapani Chitnis is a highly experienced computer networking professional with over 14 years of experience in enterprise routing, network security, Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN), and network function virtualization (NFV). He is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco Systems Inc. and is also pursuing his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Santa Clara University. Chakrapani has a strong background in Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems, Traffic Classification, Access Control Lists (ACL), and Licensing for security features. He is also skilled in policy enabled branch offices and network policy enforcement, automated learning & data analysis, XML, packet capture analysis, team work & collaboration, social networking, and software-defined networking (SDN), software-defined WAN (SD-WAN), and network function virtualization (NFV). Prior to his current role, Chakrapani worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco and as a Co-op Engineer at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications Inc. He has also completed his Master of Computer Science from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
