Chandan Bothra is a highly motivated PhD student at Purdue University, pursuing graduate studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering. With a passion for working with teams, Chandan is part of the Internet Systems Lab and works under the guidance of Professor Sanjay Rao. He is currently focused on improving video streaming experience through Data Driven Network Optimization. Chandan is a “fixer” who is dedicated to getting the job done and providing the necessary push to cross the finish line. One of his greatest strengths is his love for learning and reading, which he believes is essential for personal and professional growth. Chandan graduated from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus in 2016, where he was a topper in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. During his time at BITS Pilani, he had the opportunity to work on numerous projects and groups, allowing him to work with excellent professors and participate in industrial internships. After graduation, Chandan worked at Cisco Systems India, where he was part of the Content Security team and helped in its migration to the cloud. This experience allowed him to familiarize himself with various industrial practices and enrich his industrial work experience. Currently, Chandan is a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, working under Professor Sanjay Rao in the Internet Systems Lab. He has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for ECE 477 (Digital Systems Senior Design). Chandan's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University. Chandan's tech stack includes expertise in Research Scientist and Kubernetes, and he has relevant experience of 1.36 years.
