Chandra Cherukuri is an Engineering and Technology Leader with over 12 years of experience in architecting, building, and operating planet-scale data platforms and SaaS products. He has a proven track record of efficiently and successfully building teams and high-value technology platforms from the ground up. Chandra possesses excellent communication and collaboration skills and has experience working with globally distributed teams. He is passionate about delivering the next generation of user-friendly, effective, and efficient products to delight customers. Chandra has in-depth knowledge of Microservices Architecture and Operations, OS internals, Networking, Virtualization, Concurrency, Distributed systems, Cloud Infrastructure, Information Retrieval, Streaming Pipelines, Content ETL, and more. He is a fast learner and can pick up new concepts and technologies with ease, rapidly. Currently, Chandra is working as a Senior Engineering Manager at Box, where he is leading the engineering team. Box is a Cloud Content Management platform that enables organizations to accelerate business processes, power workplace collaboration, and protect their most valuable information. Chandra is responsible for building and operating high-value technology platforms that meet customer needs. Before joining Box, Chandra worked at Quantcast and Branch Metrics, where he successfully led multiple premium Audience Analytics products from initial customer discovery to general availability. He also architected and led the implementation of a new platform for audience measurement, analytics, and insights products at Quantcast. At Branch Metrics, Chandra architected and implemented an AWS multi-region strategy for improved latency, fault tolerance, and DR. Chandra holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida and a B.Tech in Information Technology from KIIT University. He also holds an RHCE certification in Linux System Administration from Red Hat.
