Chandra Gudimetla is a highly skilled software developer with 6.02 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently working at General Motors as a Software Developer for Google Automotive Services, Chandra has previously worked at Samsung and State Farm where he gained expertise in various technologies and tools. At State Farm, Chandra was responsible for gathering requirements from product owners and UI/UX team, developing screens given in the Invision tool, and working on the MVVM architecture pattern in the current project. He extensively used Kotlin programming language and coroutines for multi-threading and getting data. Chandra also wrote code to integrate the backend services to get the data and show it on the UI. He used Jetpack components such as Data Binding, LiveData, and Room database for storing data and Dagger 2 for dependency injection. Chandra followed Agile methodology with 2 weeks of sprint and used Version One tool for tracking stories in sprint. At Samsung, Chandra worked on projects such as Email and Visual Voice Mail Android Applications. He was responsible for gathering requirements and enhancing the user interface of Samsung Email application for new flagship devices. He refactored the developed code from MVC to MVP Clean Layered Architecture for improved unit testing. Chandra used constraint layouts and user interface components such as alert dialog, navigation and progress bar, Toggle switch, view group, and recycler view to help transition and version upgrades of the application. He also wrote unit test cases using Junit, Mockito, and power Mockito and used Robot Framework for automation testing. Chandra gained expertise in log analysis and ADB commands and used Redmine and JIRA tools for bug tracking. Chandra holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from SRM University. He has a strong technical background in Software Engineering, UI, Test, Kotlin, Android, Dagger, Backend, Mobile, Jenkins, Integration, and Web.
