Chandrashekhar Jha is a highly accomplished Staff Engineer at VMware, with over 12 years of experience in ideation to delivery of on-premise and SaaS products following an AGILE development process. He has filed 15 US patents in the field of machine learning, resource optimization, and user experience improvement for various products of VMware. Two of his papers have been selected in the Grace Hopper Celebration conference in 2017 and 2018 consecutively for 30-minute presentations. Chandrashekhar has participated in all the five Borathons (VMware’s hackathon) conducted since he joined VMware, and has won the Best Presentation Award and the Judges’ Choice Runners-Up Award. He was among the top 6 finalists thrice. He has also received a SPOT award for solving critical customer issues within a year of joining VMware. Chandrashekhar is a certified SCRUM master and has also contributed to open source via Open Source Borathon conducted by the office of the CTO, VMware Inc. Prior to his current role, he has also worked as a Senior Member Technical Staff at VMware and Member of Technical Staff III at R&D, VMware. Chandrashekhar holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Science and Technology (Autonomous, NBA and NAAC accredited). He has also completed various executive programs such as PGPEM from IIM Bangalore, Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) from egade Business School del Tecnológico de Monterrey, AMPBA from ISB, and GNAM from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University.
