With over 8 years of relevant experience, Chao has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry. Prior to his current role, he worked at Amazon as an Applied Science Manager, where he led a science team in Amazon Search to improve Spelling correction, Search autocomplete (Typeahead), Recommendation on the Search page, and Recommendation ranking. He also worked as an Applied Scientist - Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, where he combined Machine Learning, especially Deep Learning, and software engineering to improve customer experience in Amazon Search.
