Charan Lakshmanan is a driven Value Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He has a passion for solving complex problems and has a proven track record of identifying pain points and developing strategic solutions using modern technology. Charan is detail-oriented, responsible, and has a honed ability to dig into different opportunities. Currently, Charan works as a Value Engineer at BMC Software, where he focuses on deriving actionable insights. Prior to this, he worked at Flutura Decision Sciences & Analytics, where he served as a Senior Analyst in the Value Engineering team. During his tenure, he worked on the submission of different RFIs & RFPs for tenders across Process Chemicals, Aviation, Oil & Gas industries by acting as a bridge between Technical & Sales team. He also improved the gas gathering network performance for a Fortune 500 petroleum company by acting as a functional consultant throughout the engagement. Charan developed an anomaly detection solution to detect critical assets deployed on oil and gas fields and worked closely with the ‘Cerebra Vision’ product team bringing out new video analytics solutions. Charan is a lifelong learner and enjoys keeping up with the latest trends in his field. He has a degree in Applied Petroleum Engineering with specialization in Upstream from UPES and a high school degree in Non-Medical from D.A.V. Public School, Rohini, Delhi. Charan's specialties include critical thinking, analytical thinking & problem-solving skills, defining solutions & scope, accurate & detail-oriented, effective communication skills, and data analytics. In his leisure time, Charan enjoys long bike rides, trying new cuisines, meeting new people, and playing the guitar.
