Charles Cole is a highly skilled Front-end Developer with over 8 years of experience in creating and maintaining both in-house and customer-facing applications. He has a strong disposition towards test-driven development, accessibility considerations, and reusability. Charles loves working with and learning from others and is always ready to grab a coffee and discuss new ideas. Currently working as a Software Engineer II at Grainger, Charles has developed and maintained components for a large commerce site, set up and maintained a suite of automated UI tests, and developed visualizations for captured product scan data for use by the in-house data analytics team. He has also worked on a variety of both in-house and customer-facing applications and sat in on and provided feedback for new hire interviews. Prior to his current role, Charles worked as a Front-End Developer at Grainger and as an Application Developer at ATT. At ATT, he spearheaded the front-end overhaul and redesign of an employee-facing customer service application, maintained and improved front-end repository code, and created external time-saving asset lookup tools utilizing AngularJS. Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interactive Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago, a Master's degree in Political Economy from Université de Genève, and a degree in Multimedia from Illinois Central College. He also has a degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Arizona State University. Charles is proficient in software engineering, frontend development, testing, UI design, Javascript, and AngularJS.
