Charlie Liu is a Full Stack Software Engineer with over 3 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working at Dropbox as a Software Engineer, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications. Charlie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Chapman University, which he obtained in 2019. Charlie's expertise lies in a range of technologies, including AWS, Python, Frontend, Django, Typescript, Redux, UI, and Backend. He has worked on a variety of projects throughout his career, including creating deployment pipelines that integrate with AWS Codebuild and S3 to allow for over-the-air updates, developing Busybox Linux Image for embedded devices, and writing application logic for Class II medical devices in Python and C++. In his previous role as a Software Engineer at Promenade Software, Charlie implemented and owned the entire front-end workflow using React and Redux in Typescript. He also created RESTful APIs using Django and integrated them with AWS S3 and DynamoDB. Charlie deployed websites using AWS Codebuild, S3, CloudFront, ACM, and Route 53 and utilized Agile methodology to coordinate with clients and fellow engineers. Additionally, he wrote meaningful documentation in Confluence for architectural diagrams as well as instructional pages for all work completed. When he's not working or learning, he enjoys bouldering, flying airplanes, and playing video games.
